The construction of the bridge at Dominicalito in the village of Pozo Azul has been underway for three months and is now nearing completion, which is due in July 2011. The bridge has been paid for by the local municipality at a cost of ¢60 million Colon. The 15 meters in length bridge spans the river that was commonly impassible for many hours particularly after heavy rain burst. The bridge is welcomed by all the community as an important connection for the village of Pozo Azul and areas in Escaleras north to the coastal highway.
